Hey there 👋,
Today, we’re diving into a popular productivity method that has taken the internet by storm: Time-Blocking. It’s a favorite of Ali Abdaal, a renowned productivity expert and YouTuber, who uses it to structure his day for maximum focus and efficiency.
What is Time-Blocking?
Time-blocking is simple yet powerful. It’s about dividing your day into dedicated blocks of time for specific tasks, whether it’s deep work, meetings, learning, or even rest. The goal? Eliminate distractions and ensure every hour of your day has a purpose.
💡 Example: Instead of saying, “I’ll work on my project today,” you schedule 9–11 AM as “Deep Work on Project.” It’s a method Ali Abdaal swears by, and many others find it incredibly effective for staying organized and getting more done.
My Take on Time-Blocking
I’ll be honest, I don’t use this method myself. I prefer the Daily Highlight Method, where I focus on one big task each day that moves the needle the most.
But time-blocking is perfect for people who thrive on structure and want to maximize every minute of their day.
It’s worth trying to see if it works for you!
Do you use time-blocking, or do you have another productivity hack that works wonders for you? Hit reply and share—I’d love to hear about it!
Cheers, 🍻
